A gazelle feeding on the open plains suddenly noticed a cheetah approaching through the grass. The warning came too late, and the world’s fastest land animal immediately launched into pursuit.
The gazelle zigzagged across the plains, attempting to use sharp turns to escape. But the cheetah expertly matched every movement, using its long tail for balance as it rapidly gained ground.
After an exhausting sprint, the cheetah finally brought the gazelle down. Cheetahs must catch their prey quickly because their incredible bursts of speed cannot be maintained for long.
